About the role
This position is responsible for carrying out electrical breakdown and preventative maintenance repairs on a wide range of mobile equipment’s including Light Vehicles, Boggers, Truck fleet, Excavators, Drills, Dozers, Graders, and support equipment.
Key Accountabilities
- Performing scheduled and Breakdown maintenance on a large fleet of Underground Mining Equipment including Sandvik Drills, Trucks and Loaders with an ancillary fleet of CAT and Normet equipment.
- Conduct regular electrical tests and tagging on equipment’s and machines.
- Direct and train subordinates to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment’s, and machines.
- Maintain safety work standards in accordance with government regulations and company policy.
About You
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must have a NATTB certified Trade certificate in Auto-electrical with at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in heavy industry preferably mining environment. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining electrical equipment in the mobile fleet including Drills, Trucks, Loaders as well as Light vehicles, Dozers, excavators, graders,
- Relevant experience in automotive air conditioning systems.
- Self-motivated with ability to always work autonomously.
- Strong safety focus and sound knowledge of standard operating procedures.
